This review might be different from the others because I'm reviewing what's actually on the diamond canvas, not the picture on the box. I plan to give it away as a gift, so that person will never know what the original image was supposed to be, only what it looks like in diamonds.
Initially I was on the fence whether to buy this one because I was skeptical if the AI's stained glass window effect would transfer well onto the diamond rendering: it didn't. The problem with this diamond art kit is that the picture of the rendered diamonds has been photoshopped too much, it's been made brighter, lighter, and more vibrant than the actual diamonds on the canvas so that the colors that are right next to one another but don't make sense there are blended a bit better.
For example, on the very bottom, slightly right of the middle, there's a light blue dinosaur on the website picture, but on the canvas, it's barely visible. The stocking shape on that blue succulent towards the middle of it's petals is a darker green, the green patch and the blue patch on the next flower to the left also stick out more.
So the kit itself is fabulous and of amazing quality, as all DAC kits are, it's just that this diamond painting doesn't fare well close up. My advice for this one is to put it on a wall farther away, so that it makes more sense to the eye from a distance.
All of that being said, the crystal-like jewels ("iridescent diamond") and the metallic drills ("fairy dust drills") elevate…
