After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

Stunning

This was my first piece I did. I love it because it has both mine(elephant) 🐘 & my boyfriends(tiger) 🐯 favorite animals in it! It was so relaxing and calming to do. It looks even better framed when its all completed
