James A. Meger couldn’t remember a time in his life that he didn’t want to be an artist. His rural upbringing and his love of nature were the inspirations for his paintings and he often dreamed of combining these loves with a career. After completing his B.F.A., James served as a combat officer in Vietnam for 14 months. Eventually, he ended up teaching back in Minnesota, but he still dreamed of painting. With a lot of outside encouragement, he gave up teaching and six weeks later won the Minnesota State Duck Stamp Competition for 1980. His career took off from that point garnering numerous awards including over 15 Best of Show and Popular Choice awards at major national shows around the country. James died of cancer on August 25, 2011 and is survived by his wife, Laurene; and daughter, Elise.

Love this image and its meaning, another high quality kit from DAC.
We haven’t started this DP yet, the canvas is gorgeous and bright. The canvas is very soft and all the color of the diamonds are gorgeous, I wouldn’t hesitate to get this DP.

Wow I love eagles and painting one for myself was a wonderful thing. This canvas was perfect. As always the drills, colors and details were great to work with and on. The end result was admired by all who saw this work. The Eagle itself was the highlight and DAC got it right. If you like eagles purchase this canvas you won’t be sorry. I don’t mind confetti and this canvas had a lot but the end result was great.

This is my first Diamond Art Club Kit and I really enjoyed working on it. It gave me a little something to look forward to every night. It wasn’t very difficult. It was just time consuming. Im not a very fast diamond painter. But that’s okay.

I have completed 20+ large DAC canvas. This one is taking me the longest. The canvas is full of color changes, especially in the bottom water part. If you want to get a canvas that will keep you busy, this is the one. Very little color blocking on this picture.

This is my second complete diamond painting from DAC and I love the quality on this one just as much as the first one I did! These are worth the cost 100% because I know it will turn out just as good, if not better, then what it shows in the display of it online.
