Marjorie Sarnat

Born and raised in Chicago, Marjorie is an alumna of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a BFA from Eastern Michigan University. Her illustration style evolved from her love of patterns and a lifelong passion for collecting vintage, illustrated books. Marjorie currently lives in Southern California with her husband, daughter, son, and two dogs.

Pretty Luna came out perfect

This was a really nice canvas. The pattern in the background was fun and had so much detail. There is a good mix of color blocking and confetti. I finished this one faster than I had expected.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
