About the artist

David Maclean

As a digital artist for the past 15 years and a traditional artist for the 25 years previous to that (paint and brush on an easel), David currently lives among the vineyards and orchards with his wife of over 30 years. He is represented by one of the worlds leading art licensing agencies , and has quickly become one of the most requested artists over the past few years. His mother shares a vivid memory of picking him up after his first day of school, only to take him directly to an art supply store. It was here where she had seen what he’d created in class and knew she must help him pursue his talent. “This was his destiny, he was an artist.” And so it was.

Love It!

I wasn't able to get this one at first, but finally I got it when it was restocked. I am so happy to finally have it. I love the fire pit with the chairs surrounding it, and the white coastal house is inviting. As always, with a DAC canvas yoy get amazing quality with every aspect of the kit and the process.

Beautiful!

This jumbo sized kit is absolutely beautiful! It’s stunning in person. This kit is confetti heavy with small area of the sky that’s colorblocking. It will take awhile to complete. Quality is nice as usual with minor trash drills. Perfect!

I enjoyed creating this beautiful painting, however, I noticed that there are 2 cats. In working on the cats, they appeared to blend in with the colors surrounding the cats which made the cats hard to see. I had to figure out what I can do to make the cats more visible. I am attaching my painting with the changes. I like it at least I know the cats are there. 😊 I have been doing DP since 2018 and so I consider myself an experienced intermediate level. 😁
