Kim was raised in Minneapolis, MN, and spent his childhood summers up at the lake with his grandparents in rural Minnesota. After graduating from Minneapolis Community College and spending eight years as a commercial artist for Honeywell, Kim realized it was time to go freelance with his own unique style. I took a little video up close on drill colors and canvas before laying drills so you can see the clarity of the symbols and up close of the rendering.
As I live in a log cabin this is just right.
This one was the biggest one I've ever done but I loved watching it come to life!!
As soon as I saw this canvas, I had to have it. It reminded me of my mom and what her cabin (most likely) would have looked like. She passed in late October 2020. I gave it to my dad today.
I love nature and this one is a dream to work on.
