About the artist

Nene Thomas

Nene began her professional career as a watercolorist in 1994. She was soon approached by Wizards of the Coast and hired to contribute work to the collectible card game “Magic: The Gathering”. Several years later, she branched out on her own as a print artist, experimenting with digital art and painting only the things she wanted to paint. She finds inspiration for from a variety of sources, but the vast majority comes from a story she has been working on since high school. “The Zarryiostrom”, her most intensely personal project, is an epic fantasy series that she tricked her poor, unwitting husband, Steven Plagman, into writing. All told, there will be nine books in the series, each containing 20 paintings by Nene.

Beyond stunning!

Words cannot express how much I loved this canvas and completing it was bittersweet. Between the colors and just the image itself, I was blown away. My nana bought me the puzzle of this image before she passed. So this was my way of having some of her with me in artwork. Granted it took me over four months to complete due to having spinal surgery. The work was 100% worth it. This calmed my stress and felt a connection with the painting from start to finish.

My second diamond painting and my first square kit. I love the art she is stunning, and I do want to frame this one when finished. I've decided that it doesn't really matter to me if the drills are round or square, as long as you love the artwork you are working on you will enjoy it!
