Storm

Making this one for my husband. The image is flawless. There is some galling but nothing a little mica can’t fix. 100% would do this one over again. Almost done! But my fav part was the X’s are iridescent!

I love this image! I’m only giving it four stars because the symbol (shape) of color code 340 (purple triangle) does not have a box around it. These are square drills, so not having a box around the symbol makes it extremely difficult for me to place the drills straight. This color takes up most of the canvas so I’m concerned about how I’ll be able to line them up on the rest of the canvas. Other than that, the drills are top quality. I did great on one side, but the other side not so great. This is only my third square canvas (I purchased the previous two from different companies). I’m determined to become an expert with square drills. I feel confident about the other canvases that I’ve purchased from Diamond Art Club, so I’m really looking forward to working on those. Note: I’m still working on this canvas, so I estimated the Crafting Time and Final Result.

My favorite drills were the fairy dust and AB. I changed Storm's lip color to a fairy dust that I had from another kit. Storm was one of my favorite X-men in the 90's cartoon. I don't like squares or lots of color-blocking but I made an exception for her!

I love anything X-Men so when I saw the collection had to start getting them. This Storm painting came out so beautifully. I did have a few rough spots where drills didn’t seem to place smoothly but I was able to work through that and finish. I’m still getting used to square placement, lol. I can’t wait to do the others in the collection.

I worked on Storm with a group of friends and we had fun! I removed some of the shadowing around her eye. I gave her a different lip color and made both earrings the same. This was my first time experimenting with a few small changes, and while simple, it was fun.
