After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

So pretty! Diamond Art Club has rendered Dakota Daetwiler's Capricorn zodiac to perfection! I added a few extra sparkles to the kit, but loved the confetti and the detail on her face! This is an amazing painting, and I'm looking forward to completing the entire series

This is absolutely stunning and would recommend as MUST Have for all Capricorns. Managed to have it framed and finished as a Christmas present for my almost 11-year granddaughter. Her star sign by Dakota was her pick of all DAC paintings, she also picked the frame. It is the largest painting I have completed and was a joy to work on.
