After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

After finishing Evening Melodies I thought I'd be sick of blue but these colors are GORGEOUS! I cannot wait to use a few enhancements I bought specifically for this piece, although no embellishments are needed with the shine and clarity of color, and fit of these diamonds. Perfection!
