Maryline Cazenave is a graphic designer and animal lover based near Paris, France who has creating cat and dog artwork since 2008. i just finished my first diamond painting from the Diamond Art Club. i have wanted to order from them for quite some time but really had difficulty convincing myself that the expense between them and amazon (for example) justified the additional cost. my answer now that i finished it is: .....well, i am not convinced yet. i am very pleased with the canvas; the softness of it, quality of it and especially the clarity of the numbers and letters printed on it. it seems like the drills are of a much better quality than drills from any of the other paintings i have done. i was very unhappy when i began preparing to start on this project though. this was the very first painting that i have done where the bags of drills were not numbered. i put each color of drill in separate round containers and the containers are numbered. the drill bags had only the dmc number and nothing else. this caused a lot of extra effort in figuring out which dmc number corresponded to the symbol key, and the numbering system. also, i still can't figure out why the symbol keys of all companies can't be a bit more simplistic. about half make sense with symbol and number are consecutive 1-8 or so and then alphabet following. this speeds things up quite a bit. overall, yes the finished project is a tad nicer than the other companies but is the price difference commensurate? not sure about that. i am retired and started diamond painting as a means of keeping myself busy and having a painting…

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.
Step 1
Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax
Step 2
Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side
