After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This canvas was by far my favorite to work on from beginning to end!! I completed it for my granddaughter and she just looked at all the pictures and just smiled. I did run out of a color but, as always, DAC had it to me within a day or two. I want to thank this wonderful artist who gave me the opportunity to work on their artwork, bring it alive and share with my family. 😍
