I saw an add on FB for DAC & had never heard of diamond painting before? This was one of my first purchased, I chose to start with this kit first, as it has a lot of color blocked areas & I thought that would be helpful for a complete DP'ing newbie. I did underestimate the size. For someone completely new to DP'ing, I was a little deer in headlights when first unravelling it lol.
As noted, this was my very first DP experience ever. I did have A TON of static electricity issues with these diamonds. I had previously joined the FB group, so I searched tips & tried freezing them which did nothing. It was honestly a pretty horrible first experience taking most of them out of the initial plastic baggies. We're talking "JUMPING" drills.. EVERYWHERE! I wanted to cry, I worried that I had lost so many drills but managed to contain the electrical jumping mess & would find (hopefully) most of them.
Fast forward to working on the actual kit... It is beautiful, the drills have 'calmed down' for the most part but I do have a container every now & again of a certain color/s I have to be careful taking out of the plastic container they're now in.
The quality of the canvas is amazing! (I have nothing to compare it to, but I can tell this will stand up to the test of time), the sparkle on them is incredible, & love looking back to see the depth of the image which is just crazy to me how it can be made with different color diamonds?!
