After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

I’m giving an early review as I’ve only got about 17 hours invested in this project so far. However, I’m enjoying working on it very much. I’m hoping to be as happy with the finished product as I am with beginning of the project. I’ve completed several smaller and less expensive kit’s, none of which were from DAC, so I’m excited to see it totally finished. The added pictures show only what has been completed after my 17 hours of invested time. NOTE: I’m only rating this kit on what I’ve accomplished as of this posting. My final rating will post upon completion.

This is a lovely painting with a cute little crab and beautiful ocean colors. It is tall, because of the light house and even tho there are over 60 colors, there are a lot of a few different blue colors for the sky. Very nice to work on. I do wish it was square instead of round but it still looks great with the round drills and works up a bit quicker.
