Born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, Olga Akbarova eventually landed in San Jose, California, Trained as a fashion designer in art school, she dove into illustration and surface design in 2018. Grounded in the sensitive use of colors and inspired by natures beauty, she uses traditional watercolor/gouache medium and digital software to make joyful, whimsical, detailed art.She lives with her husband, son, and a ginger tabby cat named Findus.

Really Fun, Great Finished Product

I don’t usually order flower type paintings for myself, but this one, really was a lot of fun to work on. It had lots of bright colors, AB’s, color blocking and a bit of confetti. It’s a gift for my Aunt and I’m sure she will love it as much as I did while working on it.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side
