Julie Filipenko

After a childhood of moving through many cultures, Julie Filipenko earned a BA from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem, Israel and later took up residence in Tel Aviv. Working mainly in acrylic paint and graphite, her work has been exhibited all over the US, Australia, Israel and Europe.

Great kit. Beautiful render. Drills were not great.

This was lovely to see. The 939 drills are obviously old ones and did not fit as well as the newer drills, with odd rectangle shapes. The 415 drills are the new ones, I think and they were a little large. I really had to press them in. They tended to have holes and would pop off. That was a shame as 939 and 415 are the majority of color in this kit. About 20 black drills, total, for the whole kit, unusual. Overall, I enjoyed working on this, but at times it was more work than play.

So much fun

This one reminded me of my daughter, and it was so much fun to do. Amazing mix of color, blocking, and confetti. Absolutely loved working on this canvas.

Just an amazing product and design released by diamond art club. As with all their kits, the drills are outstanding quality, above all the rest. And the rendering on this one is brilliant... Just that next level from other companies.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
