The fantasy art of Anne Stokes features striking designs and life like portrayals of fantasy subjects. Anne is originally from London but now lives in the north of England, near Leeds with her son Leo and partner John. She started her art career as a merchandise designer and then worked as a freelance illustrator where she worked on a number of book, game and record products, which included producing concept art and illustrations for Dungeons and Dragons. As Anne’s art career progressed she moved solely into licensing her own creations and expanding the ranges of her fantasy themed paintings. Using symbolism within her pictures to convey meaning Anne’s artworks has been widely acclaimed. Working with Art Ask Agency her many paintings have been licensed on a wide range of products which are on sale worldwide, including T-shirts, posters, book covers, calendars, jigsaws, tarot cards, sculptures, mugs, jewellery and greetings cards. She continues to produce new works and has published several books.

As with all Ann Stokes art the imagery in this picture is amazing. I think the neutral dark colours will set off the flames perfectly. Have to admit though that biting off that much black is a little daunting particularly when I am not confident with large multiplacers. My optimum size is 4.

I just started this one, and I am starting with the flames on the bottom. I really like the different shades to the flame. I think the whole picture is amazing, I cant wait to see what it looks like on my wall when its all done!!
