After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

I really enjoyed working on this one and completed it so quickly; I think because of the tiny elements which I love so much more than colorblocked areas.
I changed her hair color to match mine and really love how it turned out.
