After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This painting is a perfect representation of Gemini. The rendering is good, although I did make a few changes in some areas to make things look a little neater. I had no problem with drills, but there was a small area that had blurry symbols and the glue was not very sticky in a couple of spots. I used enhancement drills that I purchased separately to amp up the sparkle and shine of the painting. I also changed the color of the jewels in the crown because they're supposed to represent the birthstones for May and June, but the colors in the rendering don't reflect that. Overall, it's a gorgeous image and one of my favorites that I've completed.
