Maryline Cazenave is a graphic designer and animal lover based near Paris, France who has been creating cat and dog artwork since 2008. After getting a degree in fashion, she worked as a cloth designer for a couple of years before turning to art and illustration. She started selling original paintings to Parisian boutiques and pet owners before gradually turning to art licensing as her main focus. Her art can be found on many products such as greeting cards, mugs and cross stitch kits. I enjoyed doing this piece very much. I actually did the entire thing with my off hand after shoulder surgery. Just enough blocking that I didn’t get too tired, but the background is printed that teal color so you are only doing the kitten and the mug. The only thing I didn’t like was the “**** off”, even though it’s a common phrase. I changed it to “hiss off” instead. It conveys the same message without being rude.

Quick to complete and cute from a distance. Rendering was not the best and the glue was less than ideal. It was a shame but thankfully it was only a small size project.

This is the first painting I have done that is not full drill and I loved doing it. Not only was it faster but the design really pops out. It was also pretty evenly spread between color block and confetti. Total joy to work on.

This was the first I've done with no background drills and I loved doing it as well as love the way the picture pops out without any background drills. Plus, it kind of reminds me of myself. lol Very fun and fast to do. Equal amount of confetti and color block.
