How to choose your first diamond painting kit
Start with artwork you love, then compare its size and diamond shape. More colors mean more sorting and switching, not a different technique.
What do I need to start diamond painting?
Just your kit, plus good light and a flat surface. Canvas kits include the adhesive canvas, color-coded resin diamonds in labeled bags, an applicator pen with a multiplacer tip, wax, a sorting tray, and a printed guide. Check each product page for exact contents.
How do I start my first diamond painting?
Lay the canvas flat and peel back a small section of the protective film. Pour one color into the tray, gently shake it so the diamonds settle facet-side up, then press each one onto its matching symbol. Keep the rest of the canvas covered.
Any tips for my first diamond painting?
Pour a little at a time into the tray. Keep every color in its labeled bag between sessions. Add more wax when the pen stops picking up diamonds, and switch to the multiplacer tip for larger areas of one color.
What should I avoid on my first diamond painting?
Don't leave unused adhesive uncovered, don't mix up color bags, and don't repair the canvas yourself. If part of the canvas loses its stickiness, email support with a photo before using heat, cleaners, or extra glue. Adhesive defects are covered by our Lifetime Warranty.
What should I look for in a quality diamond painting kit?
A carefully charted design, a canvas that holds its stickiness, and enough diamonds. Our team hand-renders every standard canvas design, then pairs it with a patented velvet-backed canvas, poured-glue adhesive, and resin diamonds, all backed by a Lifetime Warranty.
Will I have enough diamonds?
Yes. Our diamond bags are weighed so every kit includes enough of each color, and kits (excluding clearance items) come with lifetime missing diamond protection. If you run out of a color, contact Customer Support.
Do I need to seal or frame my finished diamond painting?
Sealing is optional, and sealed paintings are not covered by our Lifetime Warranty. Our canvases and adhesive are designed to keep diamonds in place, and framing behind glass keeps a finished piece dust-free and shiny. Choose a frame that fits your canvas, use stretcher bars, or work with a professional framer.

Found a bigger design you love?
Start with it. Small and large canvases use the same placement technique. A larger design has more diamonds to place, so you can enjoy it over more sessions.
