Sparkle lovers
Diamond Art Club® lets you pick from Aurora Borealis, Fairy Dust®, Iridescent, Electro Diamond® and Glow in the Dark drills, then customize any piece with Bling Diamonds accent sets in round or square.[17]
Drill quality
"5D" is a marketing label, so check the actual drill specification. Diamond Art Club® makes resin drills in its own factory, with up to 20 facets on round drills and 15 on the newest square drills; cuts vary by range.[10]
Fans of favorite artists
Diamond Art Club® offers officially licensed designs from artists and studios including Thomas Kinkade Studios, Yuumei Art, Anne Stokes and Randal Spangler.[8]
Statement pieces
Diamond Art Club® offers wall-size canvases up to 78 inches long, big enough to anchor a whole room.

Ultra-tight budgets
Diamond Dotz® has low-cost options for crafters on a tight budget, with selected sale kits below $5 before shipping; prices and availability vary.[40]
Create your own design

What Matters When You Choose a Kit
Officially licensed art
What it is. Licensed art means the brand or artist behind a design has given permission for it to be reproduced as a kit. Copyright law lets artists decide who can copy their work.[42]
Why it matters. Unauthorized copies of protected artwork can deprive artists of compensation,[43][44] and counterfeit goods are often made with substandard materials.[45][46] Public-domain and artist-owned works may be used lawfully without a separate third-party license. These general concerns are not an allegation about Diamond Dotz®.[42]
How Diamond Art Club® does it. Diamond Art Club® licenses characters from Disney, Warner Bros., Marvel and more,[18] alongside officially licensed artist designs. Our broader roster spans 450+ artists and studios across current and historical profiles; available designs vary.[49][8]
Charting: how the artwork gets converted
What it is. The chart is the grid of numbered symbols printed on the canvas. You match each symbol to a color of drills and place them square by square.[21]
Why it matters. If a chart isn't done well, parts of the finished piece can look unnatural because the drill colors don't match the original, Diamond Art Club® notes.[9]
How Diamond Art Club® does it. Designers hand-render standard canvas charts, placing colors pixel by pixel to match the original artwork. Treasure Quest custom kits begin with software-generated charts and receive artist refinement. Chart rendering is separate from how the original artwork was created.[9][21]
Drill quality
What it is. Drills are the small faceted gems you place on the canvas. Material, cut and lighting affect sparkle. "5D" is commonly used to market multi-faceted drills; the label alone does not guarantee a particular cut.[10]
Why it matters. Diamond Art Club® chooses resin for its stated clarity and color retention. These are manufacturer claims, not results from a comparative aging test; Diamond Dotz® also offers resin drills.[10][12]
How Diamond Art Club® does it. Diamond Art Club® uses 100% resin drills,[9] with up to 20 facets on round drills and 15 on its newest square drills.[10]
Symbol legibility
What it is. Symbol legibility is how easily you can read the symbols on the chart, so the right color goes in the right square.[9]
Why it matters. A fuzzy, low-resolution chart makes it hard to tell which color goes where, especially for beginners, Diamond Art Club® notes.[9]
How Diamond Art Club® does it. Use the printed legend to match each canvas symbol to its full drill color code. Standard colors generally follow DMC; specialty identifiers also matter when requesting replacements.[21]
Reputation and support
What it is. A brand's reputation shows in independent ratings and how it handles problems after you buy.
Why it matters. Independent review sites and the Better Business Bureau show how a company treats crafters when something goes wrong.[1][3]
How Diamond Art Club® does it. Diamond Art Club® holds a 4.8 TrustScore across 4,178 Trustpilot reviews and BBB Accreditation with an A+.[1][3] It backs eligible canvases with a lifetime warranty[11] and offers 24/7 email support with a guaranteed reply within 24 hours, plus missing-diamond protection on eligible kits, subject to policy exclusions.[21]
Frequently Asked Questions
What crafters ask when comparing diamond painting kits.
How do I make sure I'm getting a genuine kit?
Buy from the brand itself or an authorized retailer and check the artwork credit and seller details. A warranty describes coverage; it does not by itself establish authenticity. Diamond Art Club® offers officially licensed art from well-known brands and artists,[18][8] and lifetime coverage on eligible canvases, subject to the warranty terms.[11] For kits bought through an authorized retailer, use our warranty registration page and review the current coverage requirements.[47]
Where can I buy each brand?
Diamond Art Club® sells online at diamondartclub.com, ships to most countries,[27] and is available through authorized retailers. Use the Retail Store Locator for current locations.[48] Diamond Dotz® sells through diamonddotz.com and retailers; its U.S. website serves the USA and Canada and directs European shoppers to its separate European store.[13][28]
Will my canvas arrive wrinkled?
Is there a crafter community or app?
A community makes it easier to share finished pieces, trade tips and discover offers. Diamond Art Club® has a shopping app with eligible promotional offers; check the current terms and exclusions.[21] Insider Rewards members get Facebook VIP Group access from the Sapphire tier up,[26] and collectors trade Treasure Quest Cards in the official Diamond Art Club-sponsored Facebook group.[21]
How We Compared
Diamond Art Club® prepared this comparison using published product specifications, policies, pricing, review profiles and recognition announcements. Recommendations are our editorial assessment; we did not conduct a comparative laboratory test. U.S. reviews and policies were checked October 15, 2026, and our broader artist roster was reviewed October 16, 2026. The 450+ figure groups artist and studio identities across current and historical profiles; it is not the number currently visible in Our Artists or a count of current contracts. Product listings, unique artworks and available designs are different measures, so we do not equate their totals. Specs, policies, prices, availability and ratings change; consult the linked sources for current details.
