Love this Painting!
The Call of the Storm is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favorite Diamond Art Club kits so far. It’s the perfect moody mermaid scene—dark, dramatic, and totally mesmerizing. The mermaid is in the middle of these wild, choppy waters, and you can just feel the energy in the whole painting.
The colors are everything—muted blues, greys, and just the right touch of gold. It’s not overly bright or flashy, but that’s what makes it so powerful. The palette really sets the mood and gives the whole piece this mysterious, stormy vibe that I love.
And as always, the quality is top notch. The canvas is super smooth, the symbols are crystal clear, and the drills sparkle like crazy (especially those little gold accents!). It was such a relaxing and satisfying project to work on from beginning to end.
If you love ocean scenes, mermaids with a little bit of edge, or just want something with depth and drama—The Call of the Storm is totally worth it.
I bought this once, and I bought one for my cousin! Can’t wait!

This painting by Cris Ortega is really gorgeous. It's a big one and my first square one. I m challenged by Cris to do this amazing artwork into dp. I still must start to piling on all the 96 colours into containers 🙄

Call of the Storm may look stormy and dark but the canvas really comes alive as you progress. You can almost smell the ocean and feel the anger of the storm and the beauty of the mermaid. The only thing missing in this canvas is a lighthouse.
