After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This was a beautiful image from Dakota Daetwiler. I love raccoons so I had to have it. The drill field was clear and drills were excellent quality. The glue was a bit slippery in areas, but not the entire surface so it was manageable.

This one was such a pleasure to work on - a good mix of color blocking and confetti. I added some enhancement drills to the canvas, but the art work itself is excellent.

Loved this piece. Was so happy with how the raccoons turned out. I diamond paint with my teenagers and this made me think of them. Highly recommend. Especially if you like artwork with a good amount of confetti. It wasn't needless confetti.
