After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

The characters in this were so fun to do. Plus with 8 specialty drills, it turned out incredibly beautiful! This one is definitely one of my favorites.

I had a blast working on this one. Equal parts confetti and color blocking. The picture does not do it justice. I did find I had a lot of trash with this painting including a lot with drills with pinholes, which is really amazing for a DAC painting, Still had more than enough to finish.

I LOVE how this one turned out! The art is beautiful, and I’m obsessed with the anglerfish book lights. I’m a school librarian and can’t wait to hang this one in my library.
