- SLSusan L.Verified Buyer1 year agoRated 3 out of 5 starsStarted great, but the lower part of the picture is so boring
I started this DP from the top an really loved the uper part. But I do not understand, why almost 1/3 of the picture at the bottom is not really showing anything of interest.
Also some parts of the picture are not clear so my husband and childre asked me what the picture shows beside the ship. Hope my other mysteries turn out more interesting.
Quality however was as good as always.

As always, the canvas and drills are great quality. The image is very nice as well. It's a mystery kit, so I won't post a picture of it.

I enjoyed doing this one and seeing it slowly come together, but for my own personal preferences I wish there was a little more color variance. That's the nature of a Mystery Kit though, so this is not on the picture or on DAC. The picture itself is nice, but it's definitely one of those where you need to be further away to really appreciate it.
All in all it was a nice mix of confetti and color blocking. I am glad though that I didn't do it from top to bottom, because I feel like the sameness of the bottom third would have gotten pretty frustrating after some time.
Even though the colors are somewhat muted, as usual for DAC, the diamonds are really vibrant. Really helps in making it pop. The ABs and Fairy Dusts are mostly in the top area of the clouds, which probably also contributes to the toned down area of the bottom area.

I’ve done 30+ DAC canvases and this one has all the usual amazing things. Fairy dust and AB drills. Great quality canvas. Good glue. Good drill quality with very little trash. It took about 50hrs to complete.
I didn’t know what this image was so it was a true mystery. I started at the top and adored the entire top 2/3rds of the image. It was fun and exciting seeing it come to life. The bottom part, however, was a slog. I’m not sure why it was rendered this way. I looked up the original artist image and I think something got lost in the rendering. It just doesn’t look like a reflection in the water. In my view this was a missed opportunity as the original image is beautiful.

I loved watching this one come together. It was a nice mix of blocking and confetti and came together beautifully. I would definitely recommend this one and will be buying more art from this artist in the future
