Quick and Satisfying

I don't usually choose round drills projects but was taken by the vintage look of this map. I loved the jewel tones for the land and the peach shades in the background give an aged parchment look. The land is confetti-heavy but it is balanced with all the block colouring in the background. I finished this is less than a week - nice size for a break from larger pieces.

Colourful Fun!

This kit is a good starter kit, or good for doing after a big kit if you fancy a little break. I completed my big Christmas project and then worked on this between Christmas and New Year. The smaller size meant I could work from the sofa, rather than my dining room table, and I completed it in 8 days. It was an older stock, so the drill quality wasn't the best but there were plenty provided so it wasn't an issue. The colours are great & although I'm not usually one to display my pieces, this will be perfect in my home office as I work a job that deals with the international community.

Shiny, shimmery map 😍

I’m absoluutely in love. This was a joy to work on. Soo much color blocking, and the continents were inteense confetti. But fabulous, and it’s gonna look great on my wall.

Interesting map

The colors of the continents & islands are very vibrant. However, the background is in shades of pink not beige/tan as shown on the website. Since this is a gift for my son, I am a little leery about him hanging in his office. Also, Hawaii is not shown, so I just added a bright color for a few of the islands.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
