About the artist

Christopher Lovell

Christopher Lovell is a self-taught, Welsh artist - based in the UK - who grew up on sci-fi, cartoons, fantasy books and toys. The nostalgia of these still triggers his imagination and pours into his art. As a traditional, fantasy artist, Christopher built his career designing illustrations for bands and T-shirt companies, and is now focusing on his own personal work, creating art without limitations. His hope is to build an educational platform that will inspire like-minded artists to develop their skills and pursue their own careers in art.

Another One!

This was a fun, unique project! I collect plague doctors, and was really happy to add one that also included my hobby of diamond painting. Good quality, good mix of color blocking and confetti.

Another hit from one of my favorite artists

This is yet another great canvass from DAC, and great art from one of my favourite artists, being Christopher Lovell. I had zero complaints working on this canvass. I did find it to be slightly confetti heavy at times, although one wouldn't necessarily think that looking at it. Also, the colour palette was on the "dull" side, and so if you are a fan of bright canvasses then this one won't be for you as perhaps it did get ever so slightly monotonous. Overall though, I loved working on this and everything was perfect.

Mostly fantastic….

It’s DAC so it was mostly a good experience…so here’s what didn’t work for me…I had a hard time with the K symbol since it was white on a lighter color, the static (especially in 310) was the worst I’ve dealt with yet and dryer sheets barely made a dent in it. I personally did not like all the light cream dots in the dark side so I replaced those with “gun metal” drills regardless of symbol. I also don’t like how the chain in his hand rendered but I haven’t figured out how to make it look more like a chain yet.

So sparkly!

This was fun to work on. Lots of neutral colours with pops of colour. I changed the orange colours to crystals and staggered silver crystals throughout the painting.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
