Kim was raised in Minneapolis, MN, and spent his childhood summers up at the lake with his grandparents in rural Minnesota. Kim Norlien is my favorite artist. This is an amazing painting. The canvas an drills are the best!
This was was such a joy to work on. The colors are stunning! The quality can't be beat!! This one is fun for ones who love confetti.
I loved this image as soon as I saw it! It is the largest canvas I own and was a little intimidated by it but it went by so quickly! The skies and water are mostly 4-5 colours with a lot of line blocking that I could multiplace. Love working with the new 20 facet drills! The green ABs were beautiful on the trees. The rendering is beyond perfect! The details like the hat on the chair and the way the light hits the chairs are magical. This painting has a very therapeutic effect on me. I just love staring at this and it transports me to a beautiful beach without the hot sun and sand!

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.
Step 1
Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax
