The fantasy art of Anne Stokes features striking designs and life like portrayals of fantasy subjects. Her art covers a broad range of themes, from the romantic and magical enchanted Forest, to the dark underworld of gothic vampires. Classical topics are reinvented with a strong design and impact, and new creatures are brought to life in a unique and eye catching manner. Anne is originally from London but now lives in the north of England, near Leeds with her son Leo and partner John. She started her art career as a merchandise designer and then worked as a freelance illustrator where she worked on a number of book, game and record products, which included producing concept art and illustrations for Dungeons and Dragons. As Anne’s art career progressed she moved solely into licensing her own creations and expanding the ranges of her fantasy themed paintings. Using symbolism within her pictures to convey meaning Anne’s artworks has been widely acclaimed. Working with Art Ask Agency her many paintings have been licensed on a wide range of products which are on sale worldwide, including T-shirts, posters, book covers, calendars, jigsaws, tarot cards, sculptures, mugs, jewellery and greetings cards. She continues to produce new works and has published several books.

The batch of kits I got this one from had a lot of issues with drills and it made working on it trickier than DAC canvases usually are. This no longer seems to be a problem, though, and I haven’t ran out of any colors with plenty leftover. It’s an amazing piece and the rendering is beyond beautiful.

I love Anne Stokes art but not big on Christmas art. This one made working on a Christmas themed canvas a lot more enjoyable. I added a bunch of crystals to the ornaments and metallics to the Yuletide sign, but I don’t know if that will show up in the pictures very well. Greenery is probably the most difficult part of this project, but all the color changes are worth it in the end.
Sorry for the blurry video though, I took it with a different camera and had to send it to myself but it didn’t come out well.

I love this painting. Started it in January and finished it in June. The colors really popped. It was an awesome feeling watching it slowly come to life. It's a very large painting, but the incredible detail is worth it!

Finally! A design I love with enough actual DETAILING to make it one I WANT to hang on a wall as a permanent decoration!
Everything needed for a truly pleasurable experience is included. THIS company is organized and knows what I need and like! While there are plenty of color variations, which is necessary for the finished item to look good, the coding and characters are clearly defined and different enough to make the chart and canvas easy to follow. I also love that even the VERY high quality canvas has shimmer to it!
Add in the fact that the kits are well packaged and shipped securely and quickly, and they just can't be beat.
