Jumping Orcas

The finished Diamond Painting looks beautiful. Started running into challenges with the canvas stick about half way through, as I was working from bottom to top. Where the problems got worse, was above the Orcas, there were 4 sections each about 1.5"x1.5" inches with extremely low stick, and 2 places where there was no stick at all. Shocking to me, because I've never run into this kind of problem with premium canvases. I had to use two sided tape, and even had to dig around my house for some glue. It was aggravating and the popping drills slowed me down tremendously. The drills had a lot of dimples, so my trash tray filled up rather quickly. However, I did have enough drills to work with, and left overs. As you can see in the photos, it turned out beautifully, and I'm very glad I persevered, and didn't give up. I have informed DAC so they could check their canvases and drills for quality and hopefully catch any flawed kits before sending them out.

I was VERY nervous when I first opened the box. I’ve never loved super large paintings, but my love of orcas won over that fear. I’m so glad I did it. It was a blast, it was so colourful and there weren’t too many groups of the same colour. I didn’t have too much trouble with the AB drills! Only reason I’m not giving a full 5 is because the orcas are actually blue, not black (I was expecting black), and because the one green colour had almost half the drills with bubbles in them (it was frustrating to have to skip so many).

I really enjoyed working on this kit! Turned out beautifully!

I did this one for my step daughter who loves orcas. I love how big the picture is and all the detail it picks up. Lots of pretty colors and ABs in this one! DAC is the best!
