It was super fun and I loved working on it. It‘s a beautiful end result. It took me 14 hrs, which means, I thought, it was a rather easier piece.

The last leaf of Autumn,
Left dangling alone,
All her colorful mates
Have fallen and lost their tone.
No leaf of her kinship,
No relationships near by,
To exhibit a likeness of color,
Or utter an Autumn sigh.
~ Joseph T. Renaldi

Smaller doesn’t mean that it’s worse than the bigger ones. Still really cool.

This one was a simple quick one with longer lines of color and only a bit of confetti for blending. Love the finished product that has more reds and variation than what I expected.

I had zero diamond painting experience. I had discovered what DP was from a YouTube video. Being a former cross stitcher many many years ago I couldn’t work the Aida fabric when my near vision went in my early 40’s. Getting the needle into the holes was just too difficult.
Cue in the diamond painting video I watched. I was like, “whooa.” So since I didn’t know how or if I would be able to work on a kit I literally purchased the least inexpensive kit I could find in case it was too challenging for my vision.
To my surprise with high-powered “reader glasses” I had no problem whatsoever working this kit. I was so happy because it was the closest thing to doing cross stitch when I was younger.
It took me almost 2 months to complete and I must say it turned out impressive. Everything about the kit was top notch high quality and had no issues with the canvas or the drills.
The best part of all of this is the fact that I suffer from treatment-resistant major depressive disorder along with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I can no longer function to hold any semblance of a job. But, whenever I work on my Diamond paintings it’s like my entire mind just empties out and the intrusive and ruminating thoughts that plague my head just cease.
So in a nutshell, diamond painting has been a fantastic therapy outlet for me and my disability.
Thank you, Diamond Art Club for making these kits. I have so many beautiful artworks in my wishlist, but being on a fixed income it’s usually too…
