Wishing

I purchased this one on release day back in December 2024 and just finished it today. Unfortunately I was hit with major gapping and trash drills. I knew the color blocking of the background was going to take me out but that is no fault of the painting, just poor purchase decision on my part. I tried all different techniques to deal with the gapping but didn’t have any luck. I also had glue and coversheet issues. The glue was almost non-existent in certain areas and I also struggled to take the coversheet off in certain spots throughout as well. I do love the color pallet and artwork but this one just didn’t work in my favor 😣

Such a lovely diamond painting, from the artwork to the translated rendering, it captures the beauty of Ariel perfectly. The accent special drills are lovely and placed in the perfect spots and add just extra detail to the piece. A lovely color palette makes it easy to display in any room and it can fit with most decor. All the usual DAC quality with the drills, canvas and included extras is there in full force. Love this kit!

When I saw this kit, I knew I had to have it. As soon as it arrived I kitted it up, which is very unlike me. It was an absolute joy to work on and turned out amazing.

I love Ariel, she was my favorite princess for many years. I loved this image of her, it's different, with unique colors for her design. I loved working on her. The background, however, was a LOT. Color blocking is not my favorite and 15 bags of solid background was hard! :) I'm glad she is done and also glad I know more of my preferences now.
