Sarah Richter hails from a small village in Germany, where she spent most of her time drawing magical and mythological beings amid the beauty and melancholy of night. Ms. Richter studied and worked in graphic design until 2017, when she achieved her goal of becoming a full-time, freelance illustrator. Sarah’s process typically begins with detailed sketches of nature, in order to make the viewer feel as if her dark creatures and castles really exist.

This one really kicked my ****. Unfortunately someone had spoiled it for me by posting their finish before I even got to kit up, but the image was adorable so I decided to do it anyway. This one was very challenging for me, as it was my first ever mystery kit.
I found this kit to be a struggle for me because of the way the image is hidden. This particular image was heavy in the confetti department towards the bottom (where I mistakenly started) and I almost gave up on it several times out of frustration.
I'm glad that I finished it, though, because the final piece was stunning.
Positives :
Challenging, high quality canvas, very little trash drills, adorable image
Negatives :
Horrific static, 97 colors (yikes - had to buy new storage to do this one) and the crystal drills used and their placement were not my favorite (I honestly didn't like how they looked at all).
Overall :
Interesting experience, but I will not be doing a mystery kit again.
This was my very first mystery canvas from DAC and I could not ask for a better experience.
The artwork was stunning and watching the canvas come to life a section at a time was such a joy.
There are very VERY little color blocking which is my greatest joy. SOOOOOOO many colors (97) made this canvases come to life with so many shades and tones.
Very little trash drills and the symbols were clear and readable - I would definitely work on another mystery canvases (from the right artist of course)
This is my first Mystery Kit, and I am having such a fun time completing it! I didn’t know what to expect, but unraveling the mystery image is very exciting!
