This is a beautiful canvas with a great mix of color blocking and confetti. The adhesive on this was not the best and I had to apply additional as the popping drills were frustrating me. I am not a fan of the fairy dust on this kit. They are rough and scratch easily. Almost like there was no resin coating on them at all. Overall, I enjoyed doing this kit and look forward to the next canvas released by this artist.

Cant wait to do this
Took me a little over 2 months, was my first DAC and I was surprised how good the quality was compared to other companies. I will say some little spots weren’t sticky so I had to use adhesive maybe 2-3 times.

I really love the original artwork for Drachenschloss, which is the reason this review gets a 4 instead of 5 stars. I feel like the rendering of the artwork isn't quite right - in particular, the two dragons with their wings splayed look far more green in the original artwork than the finished diamond painting. The diamond painting was charted with dark blues and green highlights - which, in my opinion, didn't do enough to convey that they were actually green dragons in shade.
I also have an issue with a few of the symbols being far too similar to each other, while also being charted right next to each other. symbol 1 and 7 were both light pinks and were always found right next to each other in the colour-changes in the sky. Similarly, the two darkest greens in the tree foliage were always hard to tell apart from each other. Using a light pad was practically a requirement - and even then it got frustrating at times.
Despite these issues, I still overwhelmingly enjoyed the very long process of working on this painting. Great glue, great drill quality, good special placements. In particular, the mossy hills and the waterfalls were absolutely stunning - along with the colorful sky and mountains.
Please note that my finished photos include plenty of extra special diamonds that are not part of the original painting's charting! I added extras to the firebreath, the dragons' eyes and to the darker blues of the left "green" dragon.

The color pallet is phenomenal and the grid of the canvas is crystal clear. I love that DAC offers complimentary cards to match the art too!
