Sarah Richter hails from a small village in Germany, where she spent most of her time drawing magical and mythological beings amid the beauty and melancholy of night. Ms. Richter studied and worked in graphic design until 2017, when she achieved her goal of becoming a full-time, freelance illustrator. Sarah’s process typically begins with detailed sketches of nature, in order to make the viewer feel as if her dark creatures and castles really exist.

Waited forever

I just started diamond painting in February, and as soon as I saw this I had to have it! I am thrilled it finally was restocked and can’t wait to finish it. It is really slow going for me since this is only the second square painting I have done.

Nice Finish

Was nice once finished but I had so many issues. First the glue was not very sticky in some areas making it hard to place drills. However, once placed they stayed. Second, the 310s were all stuck together and a pain to work with but I did have enough of them. Thirdly, ran out of color 926 by about 20 drills. Lastly, it seemed like the drills were smaller than the grid so I was constantly trying to make them fit so there would be less gaping but I eventually gave up on that. Overall the finish is nice and sparkly.

WOW! So much black. The fairy is so beautiful. I took me a little longer because of the black but it was worth it in the end. Thank you DAC for these beautiful pictures.

Cat & Fairy

This is such a pretty picture with the right balance of dark and cute aspects. I bought this in 2021 so my kit included the old style of square drills. As I worked on it, I really worried the finished picture would look wonky from the drills having little gaps here and there. However, I can't any of it when I step back from it and look from a few feet away! I did add a few ABs to the background (just sporadically dotting the dark, outer area but the picture would look just as great without them.

I honestly have no no words for how beautiful this diamond painting came out I even had enough drills to change the black around the heart to the black AB and I’m happy I did because I love how it looks

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
