A self-taught artist, Bonnie spent the first 30 years of her life on her family’s horse farm in upstate NY. If she wasn’t riding horses, she was sketching them. Although the farm ceased operation in 2000, she continues to be inspired by her life there and by the mountains, valleys and villages that surround it. In 2007 she designed an ornament for the Blue Room Christmas Tree in the White House. Bonnie and her husband Scott still live next door to her family’s farm with their dog Marley and cats, Mitty and Scooter.

After working as a director of a non-profit fine arts center for 11 years, her mission is to always give back to the community and others, Dawn resides in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband of 36 years, and enjoys spending time with her family and is especially excited to be a new grandma! Born in Yokohama, Japan in 1947, Hiro Tanikawa longed to be a cartoon artist. He graduated from Tokyo Design College in comics and animation graphics and soon saw his artwork published by several boy’s magazines in Japan. At this point, Hiro decided to change direction and pursue fine art and commercial illustration. James A. Meger couldn’t remember a time in his life that he didn’t want to be an artist. His rural upbringing and his love of nature were the inspirations for his paintings and he often dreamed of combining these loves with a career. After completing his B.F.A., James served as a combat officer in Vietnam for 14 months. Eventually, he ended up teaching back in Minnesota, but he still dreamed of painting. With a lot of outside encouragement, he gave up teaching and six weeks later won the Minnesota State Duck Stamp Competition for 1980. His career took off from that point garnering numerous awards including over 15 Best of Show and Popular Choice awards at major national shows around the country. James died of cancer on August 25, 2011 and is survived by his wife, Laurene; and daughter, Elise.

Julia Watkins, known as Energy Artist Julia, was what many considered a young prodigy, attending art school (NC State School Of Design) and taking graduate level painting classes at the age of 16. Beginning as a welder in New York, Mark Davern set out for Texas where he switched to tattooing. When Hurricane Allen destroyed the shop, he returned home, married his high school sweetheart, and found artistic success in woodworking. Mark and Judy had two wonderful children together, but, when she passed away from cancer in 1992, he picked up the pieces and moved his family to Southwest, FL. After remarrying, he and his new wife began taking ballroom dance lessons. Mark also plunged into oil painting and hasnt looked back since.
