About the artist

Myles Pinkney

Myles began freelancing in 1986, designing logos, illustrating, and completing architectural renderings. Following his interests, he started creating and licensing fantasy artwork in 1991. With varnished layers of gouache, watercolor, and acrylic, Pinkney creates lush textures, intricate details, and characters who are full of personality. How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
