Our family does not celebrate Christmas but one of our friends do. I ordered these so I could make them as a holiday gift and so I started them as soon as I got them, which was the end of August. I was surprised that I was done with them in two days, including set up and putting everything away when done. The coasters are made of cardboard but because the drills are raised it should last awhile, but I would not keep beverages that “sweat”on them or it may warp. There are also cork bottoms that you add to keep them from sliding around.
