On the smaller side

This is my first square diamond painting larger than letter -size and I'm enjoying it. Mandie Manzano's art has a lot of intricate lighting and texture and I feel this DAC canvas rendering captures those elements really well. The colors are vibrant and the drills have lots of sparkle.

The preview image shows gray in the outline of the feathers and other areas but in my kit that color (#7, DMC 647, dark beaver gray) looks more green than gray. I wish I would have put two and two together earlier—the canvas printing shows the color as gray!—because I might have requested replacements. However I was pretty far along before it clicked, and based on review photos the greenish drills are more common (I've seen only one review where the drills are clearly gray.) The painting is beautiful either way.

Lastly, I did contact customer service with a question and their response was quick and friendly.

My beautiful mother and daughter

When I first saw this I thought of my 16 year old daughter and how when she was small she loved to hug me and just be with me all the time needless to say as she has gotten older those times are few and far between. I lost my mother unexpectedly four years ago and when I look at this I think about her and what a faithful woman she was and how she always prayed for everyone. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss her and this piece just called out to me to do it because of my mother.

Smaller size

I love the rich earthy colors of the painting! I like that it is smaller, for variety, and the ability to put it in a more intimate space. It is nice to be offered projects that can be completed quicker.
