After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. This one looks fabulous completed!! I will say it took me a very long time to get done. Had to take a break and do a smaller kit before I finished just to break up all the blue. However, I did thoroughly enjoy working on this piece.
