About the artist

Sonia Lazo

Sonia is an illustrator and tattoo artist from tiny, tropical El Salvador, who started drawing as a way to express themselves and as a form of therapy. Since then, they have published the book, Witch, Please!, have their own brand of clothing and continue to enjoy making weird, adorable things. Their work is an exploration of magic, colors, emotions, identity, and silly creatures.

Loved this piece!

This was my first diamond painting and I am really enjoying it. I am only half way done but I have plenty of diamonds and the kit came with washy tape and some extra diamond painting tools which I didn't expect. I highly recommend this piece especially if you are new to diamond painting.

So colorful and sparkly!

This is an adorable canvas! The render is nice and the drills are all sparkly and shiny, as you might expect from DAC. The canvas is soft and the adhesive is strong, so you can craft comfortably knowing those diamonds aren't going anywhere!

A lovely lady!

This was my first diamond art project and I am HOOKED! I love that the canvas is sparkly before even adding the rhinestones, and the cut of the stones makes it shimmer so pretty 😍 The colors are vibrant and this art work is just gorgeous. The size is perfect, not too big or too small!

Colorful and simple!

This was a really great, relatively quick project for me. The colors were so bright and vibrant, and there was so much fun personality with the individual and their pose. I did have a few minor issues with tackiness of the glue, but that was the first time that had happened to me while working with a DAC project so I absolutely see it is a fluke instead of the norm. Overall this was a delight to do, and with the color blocking and simplicity I think this is a great project for those who are newer to diamond painting.

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
