After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

I made a few changes afterwards. I changed the color of the shadein (neck and cheek) and added some blue AB drills to the horn to make it sparkle

This is probably my favorite diamond painting I’ve done from DAC. The fairy dust drills are absolutely stunning. I didn’t have a single bad drill I had to throw away. The quality of these canvases are amazing and I will always buy from Diamond Art Club
What a beautiful piece from Dakota, absolutely magical! The detail is amazing. Good mix of colour blocking and confetti in this piece so you don't get bored, as always the canvas and drills are amazing! Good to see only one or 2 colours were older (newer) drills love working with the latest drills DAC has outdone themselves with the drill quality. Loved the new perforated cover however it did not rip easily in some places and needed scissors but not big issue.
