Christopher Lovell is a self-taught, Welsh artist - based in the UK - who grew up on sci-fi, cartoons, fantasy books and toys. The nostalgia of these still triggers his imagination and pours into his art. I enjoyed this piece, I love the picture to look at. Only issue is with the drills 80% of them were curved on the bottom and did not stick to the canvas. Which was so frustrating and with trying to make the drills work it ruined the quality of the canvas.

Overall I loved this kit! Plenty of color blocking and I love the final result. My only reason for 4 stars is that her hair above the water is charted at 3371 (dark brown) and not as 310 (black) which I think isn't as true to the original artwork in my opinion. But other than that, it would be an easy swap to make and I would've made it but didn't realize the change until I placed too many drills to want to scrape them off 😅 As a fan of this artist, so glad to have this as a finish!!

I've been waiting so long for Lotus to come back in stock, it is so fun to work on so far and the picture is beautiful. DAC is my fav with their nice canvases and the new putty pen is fun to use.
