After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

I had so much fun with this Diamond Painting. The colours are so beautiful. The ABs on the octopus, in the water and in the sunrays make the picture very shiny. It was fun working on this.
