About the artist

Dawn Galia

Although she never had an formal training, Dawn has always had a passion for the arts. After becoming disabled due to a car accident, (she is also a breast cancer survivor), art became even more important part of her life and continues to be her therapy. After working as a director of a non-profit fine arts center for 11 years, her mission is to always give back to the community and others, Dawn resides in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband of 36 years, and enjoys spending time with her family and is especially excited to be a new grandma! Her art is whimsical, unique and filled with special meaning.

Perfect Beginners Kit!

This was my first DAC purchase and I was not disappointed! The simplified colour palette make all the details and special drills stand out in the canvas. The lettering is very clear as well as beautifully highlighted with AB's. Absolutely loved the finished work and I immediately framed it :)

Second Times A Charm

This was my introduction into DP. I wanted a do over, so I purchased it again. People fight over which is better rounds or squares, but it doesn't matter in the end. Each bring a different aspect to the finished look. Rounds really sparkle ✨️ and I love that. Don't add glue which was my mistake here. I won't do it on my second piece and I'll use a mesh ruler for a more professional look.

Beautiful!

I loved what this said but I didn’t like the colors. So I changed almost everything. Purple is my favorite color incase you couldn’t tell! I had never changed so much on a single picture before and I think it turned out amazing! I couldn’t be happier with it!

How to use

This meditative craft involves placing hundreds of sparkling resin rhinestones, one-by-one, on an adhesive color-coded canvas to create a vivid, shimmering work of art.

Step 1

Dip the tip of the applicator tool into the strip of wax

Step 2

Pick up each diamond by pressing the applicator to the diamond’s rounded, faceted side

Step 3

Apply each diamond to the adhesive canvas template, placing it based on the color-coded chart
