I started this piece in the fall, late for a Halloween finish, but after suffering a sudden loss in my life. I started and worked from the bottom up- the darker colors and theme down there and working through them actually did help the grieving process, plus the soothing act of diamond painting in itself.
The color blocking is soothing and wonderful, with enough dynamic changes in the piece that it doesn't get boring. I love the transformation of the spooky theme at the bottom to a pastoral, vibrant top in the light. There's a duality theme and joy being found even in times of trouble that comes on through the art.
My edition is one of the older ones with the pointy top diamonds, which I DO really enjoy, the texture is a super nice feel that makes me smile.
Highly recommend this one. I'm a huge fan of Becca Tindol's work, and love how it translates to diamond painting.
