After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This was a 2022 purchase. I really like how the sky around the moon came out. There was a surprising amount of confetti on the Kraken which leaves no surprise that I also liked that area of the painting. I did not care for the line blocking on the surface of the water or the render of the ship. The drills were a mix of the pre-pointy drills and pointy drills. I enjoyed working with the older drills.

First DAC canvas completed.
Never buy a design you don't love, so it's a given - this design is LOVED. The artwork reflects depth that comes from being truely human made, with no design ruining AI input.
Great quality canvas materials and drills, there was some trash with ample leftover drills to complete the project. Nice spray of ABs makes the design pop without distracting from the theme. Good variety of colour blocking, confetti areas and line blocking. I enjoyed the bright pops of colour breaking up the multiple blue tones. As with all diamond paintings - it's about the time you can spend to complete it. Balancing life and other hobbies, this canvas took approximately 2 months to complete with plenty of down time. Lovely kit, destined for the frame. 🖼️

I love how this is turning out. So excited to get it finished and on my wall
I had so much fun with this because of the mix of confetti and color blocking. The picture turned out even better than I anticipated.
