After a fire burned down her first gallery in Fortuna, CA and Covid closed the second in nearby Ferndale, Ms. Daetwiler packed up her family and moved to Maine. There, with her nine chickens and a dog, she paints things the way she sees them, creating windows into other worlds through imaginative storytelling. She is a self taught artist whos work often contains hidden elements and a twist or two if you look closely.

This came super fast and the kitting up was so much fun. I’m only done with the very top portion but the colors of everything is already looking really nice. I’m super excited to see the final product.
Between the whales jumping around and bubbles in the sky... it was very different! I loved every minute of it. It took a long time cause it is really big... but so worth it!
