Alice In A Bottle

10/6, er... I mean 3.5 but I'll round up to 4 stars.

I love this illustration. The AB drills in Alice's hair and pinafore are gorgeous and the kit quality is excellent, as expected.

HOWEVER

This is marketed as a beginner kit which is pushing it. It is less drills in total but they're square and placed along an irregular border. Also, the kit colors are blue, blue, blue, light blue, dark blue, and blue AB (lol!). You don't want to lose focus if you're working with more than one blue at a time.

The charting is very clear except for one baffling decision: "1" is used for color #1, "2" for color #2, and "3" is used for color #22! WHY?

As some other reviewers have noted, poor Alice looks like she spent a day at the beach with no sunscreen. Orange skin and green eyebrows are…a choice, but it works overall. I made a few AB substitutions in the butterflies and I changed the "gold" in the painting to metallic drills.

Love her, so sparkly! It was great fun being her to life! All in all, she took approximately 10 hours to complete, and worth every minute. I did learn that square drills can be a challenge…I had several drills that were more rectangular than square.

Hat sich gut legen lassen und hat Spaß gemacht. Allerdings haben sich schon ein paar Lücken gebildet.

Super cute Alice in a bottle diamond picture. I loved the colors and how everything turned out. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because it was square drills instead of round.

I'm in love with this partial kit, it shines a lot

Love Alice in Wonderland and love “snack size” kits. Great quality as usual. Just wish DAC made more smaller kits! This one is also technically a “partial” meaning the background around the bottle is not for diamond painting. It is a really pretty and shiny dark blue. Love it!

This is a terrific partial painting. Great sparkle and quality. Easy and quick to finish. Perfect for a beginner.
